San Francisco Bay Area Kiting

The San Francisco Bay Area, in California offers the best urban conditions for wind sports, such as kitesurfing, windsurfing, landboarding and sailing.
The San Francisco coastline, extending from Pt. Reyes and Bodega all the way to Santa Cruz, offers world class wave sailing and surfing during Fall, Winter and Spring.

San Francisco has over 15 kite spots in about 1 hour driving radius with consistent winds during Spring, Summer and early Fall. This 8 months of consistent winds that no other city can offer. Water temperatures require a wetsuit of 4/3 or 5/3 all year round, with the exception of inside the Bay and Delta locations that  shorty suffices during the warmer months of Summer.

Live2kite is located only 15 minutes from San Francisco, in picturesque Marin County, CA and in great proximity to some of the best riding in the world. Our local spot (Larkspur, in front of the shop), offers consistent flat water riding from May to September (when the fog is in the city, we are riding on shorties in 80+F). Larkspur also offers great flat water cruising for Stand Up Paddling, and it is the local spot for many windsurfers.

If you are looking to ride under the Golden Gate Bridge, or hit overhead+ waves California style this is the location to be.
