This is the second year that I am using the Mystic Firestarter model. In 2007 I was amazed by the level of comfort across the back of the harness, how stable the harness is by not moving at all towards any direction, zero riding up, and extreme range of motion. In 2008 the Mystic Firestarter took many rider inputs and it has become the winning package. Here is why: - The Badge system, the black 3-D piece on the back of the harness which controls the load got a bigger outline. This way it distributes the load even better on the low and higher parts.
- The Badge also became more flexible from 2007 which brings better body adaptation. In 2007 it felt a bit too stiff.
- There is new construction this year which hides all the stitching. There is no exposed stitching anywhere on the harness. Very clean.
- The Badge is now part of the inside structure of the harness, which creates better harness strength.
- There is a new handlepass leash system in 2008 with quick releases on both sides. The leash is covered by a plastic tube and integrated in the back of the harness.
- For 2008 there is new spreader bar and pad. The neoprene covered pad offers pockets to better hide any additional webbing.
- One of the biggest design improvements in 2008 is the neoprene lower edge (seemless) for NO SKIN BURNS.
- The outline of the harness is also improved in 2008. It is more angled outline for improved range of motion creating a more flexible edge.
