The Ozone Afterburner lands at Live2Kite around 10 October
The Ozone Afterburner is on its way to our shop, and the first ones land in about two and a half weeks, around 10 October. If you want one from that first shipment, now is the time to let us know.

This is the fast one
Ozone set out to build the parawing with the best upwind performance on the market, and as far as we can tell they managed it. It goes upwind so well that it changes how you plan a session: park at the end of your run, climb back up in a couple of tacks, and take the longest downwinder your spot allows, with your car already waiting for you at the end.
If you have come from kiting, and especially from foil kites, it will feel familiar straight away. The bar pressure, the way it sits overhead and the way it answers when you sheet in are much closer to a kite than anything else in the parawing range.
What you get
- A high aspect, high cell count canopy that stays clean in flight and drives hard upwind.
- The same low end as the Pocket Rocket V2, with considerably more at the top.
- A very smooth overhead drive that makes your tacks far more reliable.
- Ozone's new ultralight monobloc carbon bar.
- Six sizes, 3.0m to 6.5m, from $1,599 to $1,809.
Is it the right one for you?
We would rather tell you straight: the Afterburner is trickier to stow than the PowerPack or the Pocket Rocket. The higher cell count and aspect that make it fly so well also make it more of a handful to bundle away cleanly, especially while you are still on foil. It is a skill that comes with practice, not a flaw, but it is not the wing to learn parawinging on. If you are coming off a kite bar and you want the upwind, this is the one. If you are new to parawinging, start on the PowerPack or the Pocket Rocket V2 and come back to the Afterburner when stowing is second nature.
