This is the fast one. Ozone set out to build the parawing with the best upwind performance on the market, and as far as we can tell they managed it.
If you have come from kiting, and especially from foil kites, the Afterburner will feel immediately familiar. The bar pressure, the way it sits overhead, the way it answers when you sheet in: it is much closer to flying a kite than the rest of the parawing range. Riders who have spent years on a bar tend to get on with it straight away.
The upwind is the part that genuinely surprises people. It goes upwind so well that it changes how you plan a session: park at the end of your run, climb back up in a couple of tacks, and take the longest downwinder your spot allows with your car already waiting for you.
The catch, and we would rather tell you
Stowing it is trickier than the PowerPack or the Pocket Rocket. The higher cell count and the higher aspect shape that make it fly so well also make it more of a handful to bundle away cleanly, particularly while you are still on foil and moving. It is a skill rather than a flaw, and it comes with practice, but it is not the one to learn parawinging on.
